    Bad Dreams:
Notes on Life and Los Angeles by a Would-Be Has-Been

Bad Dreams is a poignant exploration of what it means to find and accept oneself while balancing life's unexpected turns and inconvenient passions. Whether it’s about her complicated relationship with her mother, the death of her young husband, her own struggle with mental illness, or the time that juvenile possum walked down the hall and into her bedroom, the author shares her observations with humility and humor.

    About Jenny Noa

Jenny Noa was born in New Jersey, went to school in Pennsylvania, survived six winters in Chicago, and then moved to LA. It was there that she (half-heartedly) pursued acting, did a lot of improv, read essays to anyone who'd listen, and came to terms with what wouldn't be. After a move to the Bay Area just when the world was locking down, she decided to preserve her best essays in a collection that grew over time into a memoir on dreaming, derailments, and discovery. That book, Bad Dreams: Notes on Life and Los Angeles by a Would-Be Has-Been, was self-published by the author in November 2024.
